Our Managing Well programme aims to provide managers with the opportunity to reflect, refresh and refocus on the key principals of effective management – or provide that foundation to those new to management.

As we aspire to be a values-led organisation that prioritises compassionate, kind and inclusive management to create safe environment for patients, service users and staff, Managing Well exists to help managers in understanding what is expected of them across a range of topics.

The programme contributes to the development of supportive networks of managers across the Trust, with topics across the three-day course including staff retention, effective communication, challenging conversations, effective teams, promoting attendance, diversity and inclusion, financial management, business intelligence and much more.

Managing Well provides a more practical overview of support services within the Trust that can help management development. This differs from Leading Well, which provides an opportunity to reflect on leadership behaviours and qualities that the Trust seeks from its leaders.
