Quitting smoking is an important part of looking after yourself, so if you smoke, it can affect your health and make respiratory infections such as flu and Covid worse, as well as increasing your chance of other illnesses such as cancer, COPD and diabetes. Quitting smoking can improve your chances of recovery from illness and make it less likely to have to visit hospital as a patient. When you stop smoking, you give your lungs the chance to repair and you will be able to breathe easier.

We understand that it can be difficult to quit smoking, that’s why there is a package of support available to support you for free. It is never too late to stop smoking.
