This month’s congratulations go to Lauren Kelly, who was named by the Executive Team as Star of the Month for April 2023 for her outstanding efforts in both education and professional capacities.

Lauren, who works within Microbiology, was nominated by Rachel Dyson and was recently awarded with a voucher for either an afternoon tea for two or a treat tray from The Hub at the QE as a token of appreciation for their fantastic effort. 

Why Lauren is a star:

Lauren is our L6 Healthcare Science Apprentice in Microbiology, undertaking a challenging degree course and also until very recently participating in a full shift rota in her role as Associate Practitioner. She has done the department proud by winning the University of Sunderland Microbiology student of the year, nominated by the senior lecturer there for achieving the highest marks on her course. Take a bow Lauren! 🙂
