The Making Every Contact Count (MECC) programme encourages colleagues to use opportunities that arise during care to have conversations about how a patient might make positive improvements around their health and wellbeing.

Two upcoming ‘train the trainer’ sessions will provide the chance for colleagues to better understand the programme, and help them understand how they can develop their colleagues to consider suitable prompts, signposting and support.

Sessions will take place at Newcastle Civic Centre on 17th July between 1:00pm – 4:30pm and 19th September between 09:30am – 1:00pm.

During the session, you’ll learn more about the MECC Trainer role, MECC content and support and how to deliver MECC to targeted audience; develop training skills, tips and advice; and understand how to use supporting tools such as the ICS Training App and MECC Gateway website to facilitate effective signposting.
