We are pleased to confirm that the regional Staff Wellbeing Hub, which was expected to close completely at the end of September, will be able to offer a service until March 2024 thanks to support from NHS England.

A smaller team will offer brief support for health and social care staff across the North East and North Cumbria, helping to signpost people to the best support for their needs. While reduced in size, the hub will remain an easy to access and highly confidential source of support in these challenging times. To learn more about the kind of support available through the ICS, please visit our NENC ICS webpage.

During the period between now and March, the Staff Wellbeing Hub team will work hard to explore the feasibility of a wider regional model to hopefully continue its work after March.

You can also find out more about the hub and the support it can provide you over on the ICB website. To access free confidential support you can fill in an online form, email to [email protected], or phone 0191 223 2030.

As well as local wellbeing and support services within individual organisations, there is also a range of other national health and wellbeing support offers, including the national textline, financial support resources and guides for line managers that can be accessed via the NHS website.

In addition to local support offers, the Practitioner Health service remains available to eligible staff, as well as other mental health services such as IAPT talking therapy services. For more information on internal mental health support, please visit our mental wellbeing pages.
