In at the Deep End:

Gateshead Health will hold its June Schwartz Round session on Wednesday 29th June, between 1:00pm – 2:00pm via Microsoft Teams. The topic for the session will be ‘In at the Deep End’, and we’d like to invite you to join us.

Our first ever Schwartz Round took place in late May, and was a resounding success with around 50 people dialling into hear the experiences of our brilliant storytellers Fiaz Ahmad, Keely Taylor and Caroline Murray.

And June’s session will again open with a 15-20 minute spell where another 2-3 volunteer storytellers will share their reflections and experiences around the session theme. We are actively seeking storytellers ahead of the session, who will be steered through the process and well-prepared by our trained facilitators.

Following this, our facilitators will open the discussion up to other attendees. Schwartz Rounds provide a structured, safe and reflective space for attendees to consider the emotional impact of working in healthcare.

Below, Ruth Whiteman and Susie Chrystal share more about the session, what you can expect and how you can get involved. You can also learn more about Schwartz Rounds on our dedicated page.
