Free and confidential coaching continues to be available for NHS colleagues from ethnic minority backgrounds through the Looking After You Too (LAYT) coaching service.

The one-to-one support offer helps unlock personal and professional potential while supporting wellbeing through the provision of a safe, judgement-free space to talk about the issues that are important to you.

Coaching allows you to explore management strategies for your current experiences. Elsewhere, sessions will help you more effectively deal with difficult conversations as well as offer a chance to discuss approaches to personal and professional development while ensuring wellbeing remains a priority.

No details of colleagues who take up the offer are shared with Gateshead Health, and all coaches are external to the NHS. One coach shared: “Through coaching, we help people become more aware and see multiple possibilities. Our role is to hold space for you to reflect and find solutions to the challenges you’re dealing with.”
