Earlier this year the organisation introduced Teddy to the Trust, a wellbeing dog who supports colleagues through regular visits to different areas throughout the Trust.

Teddy’s presence is currently funded through the Health and Wellbeing Charitable Fund, who make a donation to Wag in exchange for regular visits from Teddy and his owner. The organisation also works alongside Wag to provide a similar service out in the community, ensuring we extend similar benefits to our patients, too.

On Saturday 23rd September, Wag, who are a registered charity, will be holding the ‘Walk for Wag’ at the spectacular Kielder Waterside, and are inviting anyone interested to join them on the day.

The walk acts as a hugely valuable opportunity for Wag to raise funds and ensure they can continue providing their fantastic friendship dog services – of which there have now been over 100,000!

A 10km and 3km option are available on the day, with your own dogs very much welcome to join too. Those who get involved are encouraged to fundraise at least £50 per head to enable Wag’s special friendships in the community, whether through a JustGiving page, fundraising event, sponsorship form, donation or otherwise.

To find out more about the event or register to get involved, just head over to the Wag website and learn more now.
