Following on from the successful of tag rugby sessions over in Newcastle, Try Tag Rugby are now set to introduce sessions at The Parks Sports Centre in North Shields.
If you’re looking for something active, social and fun to do mid-week, Try Tag Rugby Newcastle could be the answer. Already welcoming around 120 men and women to their league nights, those who attend enjoy a non-contact, simple, fun and inclusive sport open to anyone with moderate fitness. Games are played 7-a-side, with a minimum of 3 female players playing for your team at any one time.
Most of who play joined as individuals and were complete beginners to any form of Rugby, being placed in a team with others creating a fun and welcoming community.
Taster sessions:
You can try Tag Rugby for Free at an upcoming Taster Sessions on:
- Sunday 25th August at Paddy Freeman’s Park, Newcastle or the 27th of August; or
- Monday 2nd September at The Parks Sports Centre, North Shields.

About league nights:
If you’ve caught the bug after the Free Taster Sessions, you can join the new Autumn League starting on a Monday Night at The Parks in North Shields from the 9th September. Don’t worry if you can’t make every Monday – squads are created so if you miss a night, your team will still be able to play their game. Once games are finished, most head to the pub and enjoy a drink and a laugh together!
