Serenity Social and Therapeutic Horticulture is a charity founded by Dr Satinder, an experienced GP who understands first-hand the challenges of the Covid pandemic and the importance of looking after your own mental health and wellbeing.
In partnership with the NENC ICS Staff Wellebeing Hub, the charity are offering a free session to health and care staff who have worked throughout the pandemic and beyond, to have some time to reflect in a safe and peaceful environment.
Sessions are led by volunteers who have taken time out of their everyday lives/work to support the sessions and share their skills and knowledge with you during the sessions, further information about the volunteers and venue including photos can be found on the Serenity website.
The offer is open to individuals and whole teams, – there will be 30 places per session available on a first come first served basis.
Sessions will include an opportunity to explore and ask questions about Woodside gardens which has previously opened to the public under the National Garden Scheme, Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine, Tai Chi and elements of nature combined with mindfulness.
Sessions will take place from 9.30am – 1.30pm on the following dates:
- Friday 1 July 2022
- Friday 8 July 2022
- Friday 9 September 2022
- Friday 16 September 2022
- Friday 23 September 2022
Venue: Killerby Village, County Durham, DL2 3UH.
Please bring your own refreshments and snacks as these are not provided on the day.
