Dates for Menopause ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions led by Regional Menopause lead and former NHS England Menopause Network Chair, Jacqui McBurnie, have now been confirmed and are available to book.
Two sessions will take place, the first on Monday 19th August between 12:00pm – 1:15pm, and the latter on Wednesday 25th September between 10:45am – 12:00pm. Both sessions will take place over Microsoft Teams to encourage attendance, and will lasting around an hour with the additional 15 minutes dedicated to question, answer and discussion.
Those who attend will learn more about what menopause is, what to expect, what symptoms are most common and what is recommended for the management of symptoms – especially in the workplace.
It is hoped that by organising these sessions, we will build a bank of colleagues who can deliver training for other colleagues, raising awareness of menopause and its impact in the workplace, and encouraging more line managers to make adjustments to support colleagues who experience symptoms. Plans to hold the sessions were revealed earlier in July.
