Over the past year, the Occupational Health team has been working to make its latest submission for Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS) accreditation. In late July, the team learnt of their success following an assessment day.
Acting as an independent assessor of Occupational Health providers, SEQOHS is endorsed by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine as the accreditation scheme of choice for occupational health services which work to raise overall standards of care within the industry. Under 200 organisations currently possess this accreditation in the UK, with only 67 of those NHS Trusts.
During the process, the team were congratulated for delivering the “best introductory presentation” one assessor had seen in his 15 years with SEQOHS. Post-assessment feedback included that “the service consistently demonstrates a high standard of delivery”, while Occupational Health was also commended for “it’s proactive and holistic approach to promoting health, and for its strong integration with wider health and well-being intiatives across the Trust.”
A big well done goes to our Occupational Health colleagues. Remember, you can always find out more about the support and services offered via Occupational Health either here on balancegateshead.com, or over on the dedicated StaffZone intranet page.
