Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Group Programme for those with Long Term Conditions/Long Covid

The NENC ICS Staff Wellbeing Hub will be running an 8-week mindfulness-based cognitive therapy group programme open to Health and social care staff, starting a week from today (14th July), between 5:30pm – 8:00pm.

The mindfulness-based programme, which will take place over Microsoft Teams, will incorporate:

  • Mindfulness training to support the development of awareness and pacing to learn to override automatic habits of overriding exhaustion and discomfort and, as a consequence, to learn how to be with and reduce the tension and anxiety that a life-long condition or long-covid can bring
  • An exploration of how to integrate recommended physical exercises and activities into your routine
  • Support from others with similar experiences and challenges in a safe group space
