Tomorrow marks Menopause Awareness Day. This year’s theme is ‘cognition and mood’, and to mark the occasion, we’ll be holding a stall outside of Costa Coffee at the QE where we’ll be raising awareness of menopause, having a chat with visitors and sharing further information, resources and support around the subject.
Joining us at the stall will be some of our menopause buddies – members of our menopause warriors support group who are happy to offer more personal discussion of your experiences on a 1:1 basis. Pop along between 11:00am – 1:00pm to check out the support available, learn more about menopause and pick up a free cupcake!
Those who attend will also be asked to share any feedback around what they’d like to see from any menopause guidance aimed at managers, to help shape documentation we’re currently planning on creating.
All are welcome to visit, whether you experience symptoms of menopause or are interested in how you can better support those who do.
Menopause Warriors meeting – supplements:
Not stopping there, this Thursday 20th October will see our warriors host their latest meeting in the Listening Space between 12:00pm – 1:00pm. Alison Harvey will kindly lead the session, and those who can’t make the event will be able to dial in via Microsoft Teams.
Joining us at this month’s meeting will be local GP and our Health and Wellbeing Guardian, Ruth Bonnington, who’ll be on hand to chat more around supplements for those in attendance and provide further advice and support.
