As part of continued efforts to promote support for working carers at Gateshead Health, we’re today launching a new pre-filled template of the Carer’s Passport, helping bring to life the kind of contents you might expect to see in a Carer’s Passport.

It is hoped that by launching the pre-filled template, working carers within the organisation as well as our line managers will be able to get a better idea of the kind of contents that might be expected within a Carer’s Passport – and help prompt more discussion about the kinds of reasonable adjustments that might be made to support our working carers to remain well and supported at work.

As an organisation we celebrated Working Carer’s Day 2022 back in November by sharing more around the financial, mental and social wellbeing support and opportunities available to working carers. The day also saw us launch a new dedicated page to promote local carer’s groups across Gateshead, Newcastle, County Durham, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Northumberland.

Also amongst our support for working carrs is our very own Carers Circle, which aims to provide colleagues with peer support from those who experience similar challenges and meets monthly within our Listening Space. To learn more about the group or request an invite to upcoming sessions, which can also be dialed into via Teams, please drop us a line on [email protected].

To download the pre-filled template, just click the relevant button below. You can also download an empty copy of the template to complete if you’re a working carer below, or read further guidance on for carers and managers – including more information about Carer’s Passports. All of this information is also available in our Working Carer Support page, meaning you can access it easily anytime!
