Colleagues will soon receive a festive meal voucher, thanks to the support of Gateshead Health Charity. It is a simple thank you and a chance to pause and enjoy a break together during December.
Collection arrangements:
Our QE Facilities colleagues are kindly helping with distribution arrangements again, which are as follows:
- Vouchers for staff within QE Facilities teams will be sent to the relevant locations directly
- For managers of teams based at Bensham Hospital, please collect your vouchers from the main reception desk from 24 November
- For managers of any other teams, please arrange collection from the catering department by the Windy Nook entrance from 24 November

You can use the voucher for a festive meal or a sandwich meal deal in our catering outlets.
Meal dates and times
- The Park Deli at Bensham on Thursday 4 December and Friday 5 December from 12.00 to 2.00pm
- The Hub from Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 December and Monday 15 to Thursday 18 December from 12.00 to 3.00pm
- Weekend workers at The Hub on Saturday 13 December from 12.00 to 3.00pm
- Night shift workers at The Hub on Monday 15 December from 6.30 to 9.00pm
- Seating is first come first served and takeaway meals are available.
If you would like to donate your voucher, you can give it to the Leg Up Project, which supports colleagues facing financial hardship. Donation boxes are in all catering areas and donated vouchers can be used for a hot meal until 31 March 2026.
