A face-to-face Domestic Abuse Awareness training session is set to take place on Thursday 16th April between 09:30am – 12:30pm in the Saltwell Room of Gateshead Civic Centre.
Hosted by Gateshead Making Every Contact Count, the session will provide an in-depth insight into domestic abuse awareness and equip its participants with the knowledge and skills needed to support someone they think may be in an abusive relationship.
The aims of the session are as follows:
- Understand types of domestic abuse
- Recognise the impact on individuals and families
- Explore why people can’t always just leave
- Learn practical ways to respond and support
- Understand the support available
