#TeamGateshead colleagues can access an exclusive discount to an upcoming half-day workshop on bereavement and grief awareness for the workplace, set to be hosted by The End Matters CIC in conjunction with The Campbell Grief Institute.
Taking place on Wednesday 12th February between 9:30am – 12:30pm at Aidan House (Sunderland Road, Gateshead, NE8 3HU), the session will focus in on best practice for supporting a colleague after a close bereavement. Tickets for the workshop are usually priced at £30, but are being offered for £25 to Gateshead colleagues with thanks to Neil Campbell, who also delivers our mental health defuser training sessions.
The workshop itself is most suitable for those who are managers as well as those from a HR background, who operate in wellbeing roles such as mental health first aiders or wellbeing champions, or who work in similar staff support roles such as union reps and professional nurse advocates.
The session itself will examine best practices for supporting bereaved staff, highlighting appropriate language to be used, assessing death, dying and grief in today’s society and providing an informed guide to establishing a caring and effective approach to bereavement and grief.
