The NENC ICS Staff Wellbeing Hub team are hosting a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI) group intevention, lasting 4 weeks and 90 minutes per session via Microsoft Teams.
Colleagues can access the course via either self-referral or referral via a Wellbeing Hub clinician. Those who self-refer will be asked to attend a screening appointment to ensure the intervention is suitable for your sleep problems.
As its name suggests, CBT-I has two main parts: ‘cognitive’ and ‘behavioural’. The cognitive aspect of the programme explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings and expectations about sleep that might be in themselves, barriers to getting a good night’s sleep. The behavioural part supports the changing of behaviours and habits, and routines, based upon the science of sleep, that can help improve sleep.
Sessions will take place between 10:00am – 11:30am each week, on:
- Tuesday 28th June
- Tuesday 5th July
- Tuesday 12th July
- Tuesday 19th July
