Recent changes mean that bookings for Mental Health First Aid accredited courses offered to all colleagues by the organisation should now be booked via ESR.
To assist in the changeover, we’ve just published a new Mental Health Training Opportunities page, where you’ll find a course synopsis of both our two-day Mental Health First Aider training course and our more targeted one-day Mental Health Champions Training for Line Managers.
Also included on the page is details around planned dates for both courses in 2025, and direct booking links to allow you to log-in to ESR and enrol to claim your place.
Mental Health First Aiders aren’t therapists, but they play an important role in helping peers and directing them to the right resources. Our ever-growing network of MHFAs support colleagues by providing an avenue for them to discuss concerns early, offer both one-off and regular support depending on the situations and more than anything, provide a listening ear and valuable signposting advice.
Mental Health First Aiders can be called upon in many situations at work, such as when someone is dealing with mental health issues, returning from long-term absences, or even just needing one-time support. Staff can reach out to an MHFA directly or request to be put in touch with a willing volunteer through the Health & Wellbeing Team on [email protected].
