Gateshead Health colleagues can access free, confidential and 1:1 support through the North East and North Cumbria ICS Staff Wellbeing Hub, with referrals generally responded to within 1-working day.

Amongst the most popular offers from the Staff Wellbeing Hub is their psychological support offer, which helps you if you’re struggling at work, at home or both. Whatever you’re dealing with, you can quickly access listening support and help through an appointment with an experienced mental health professional and up to three further support sessions, as well as guidance to other services if you need further support.

Making a referral for this support is simple – just complete the online self-referral form, e-mail [email protected] or leave a confidential message on 0191 223 2030.

Above and beyond 1:1 support, the Wellbeing Hub also has an array of other offers tailored towards healthcare staff from across the region. Included amongst these are introductory and in-depth courses on mindfulness; support for teams who have experienced a traumatic incident; targeted sessions for teams on topics such as wellbeing, burnout or mental health; therapy groups; and groups on topics including stress, burnout and more.

Plans to further expand this offer are currently being worked on, with details on further specialist support expected to be released shortly. Check back on the website regularly for more news as these offers go live.

Elements of the Staff Wellbeing Hub’s offer are also found over on the Boost platform, another web area highlighting resources available to NHS colleagues throughout the region. Here you’ll find many more support offers, including around topics such as financial wellbeing, self-care, neurodiversity, resilience, coaching, job progression, leadership and much more.

Until then, you can visit the Staff Wellbeing Hub website at any time, and can also easily find it through their dedicated page here on balancegateshead.com through their dedicated page.
