The next Schwartz Round will focus in on the topic ‘A patient or colleague I’ll never forget’ and will take place on Friday 16th September between 12:30pm – 1:30pm.

The Round will be the first to take place face-to-face, and will be held in Rooms 9 & 10 of Trust HQ/Education Centre. You can learn more about Rounds, as well as further upcoming booked Rounds, over on our dedicated Schwartz Rounds page.

We are currently still seeking storytellers for the Round, and would like to appeal to any member of staff that remembers an unforgettable patient or colleague when thinking of the session title.

Of course, we’d also love to welcome you as a participant. All colleagues are invited attend, actively participate in post-storytelling discussion or simply listen to others. Feedback from previous rounds has shown that over 90% of those who attended gained insights that would help them better meet the needs of patients; got a better understanding of how their colleagues feel about work and how they felt about their work. 99.2% of those who attended shared they’d recommend attending a Round to colleagues.

Rounds last around an hour, with the first quarter reserved for storytellers to share their experiences related to the session title. The remainder of the session is led by our trained facilitators, who steer conversation amongst attendees to reflect. Rounds provide a safe and confidential space, with patient and staff identities protected.
